Default Sam 2110C - Paid for channels blocked

Whenever i reconnect my V@@gin box (Sams@ng 2110C) after its been disconnected and switched off for a couple of weeks, all i get is the 5 terestrial channels - (i have a subscription to the large package) - how can i get them back without having to ring customer services every time i want to watch the channels that i have paid for.

hi
or you could put a spitter on and run two boxes together if needed and then you will have your sub box there whenever you need it

thanks

thanks all - have v box in computer room - have a sky feed too - so only need to use vbox when the wife wont let me have sky sports upstairs.

will try the bbc thing but sure i have left it on for a full day and still got the message to say i have not the subscription - even though i have.

Is it a key rollover thing - does this happen every few days , thats why my box wont have the channels i should have

I dont have my subbed box plugged in either about 1 month dormant,, I have just plugged it in and have all the subscibed channels,So maybe its just a bad box?? I dont think it has anything to do with a key roll as a subbed box should auto update

Its simply because your package tiers have expired.

With a subscription box, most tiers are only enabled for about 1-2 months. Sometime during this period a tier update will be received by the card and it will cause the tier dates to be extended for another month or so.

If you leave the box disconnected then the card will miss the tier updates so, when you plug it back in, the box no longer recognises that you are subscribed.

Unfortunately, the updates are particular to specific cards and, being as though there is fairly limited bandwidth on the EMM stream, updates are often only transmitted for a few days. After that the frequency of the update reduces from once every couple of minutes to progressively longer periods until eventually, after a couple of weeks or so, its dropped entirely.

To make sure your box is updated you need to plug it in for at least a couple of hours every month at approximately the time that the tier updates occur. You can usually suss this out by using a program like TierInfoLite (this will not damage your card - it just reads the same info that the box reads) to see when the Rights date expires - Updates are usually in the stream a couple of days before this expiry.
