Default Card sharing with Samsung 2100

Hi all,

Does Samsung 2100 (N*L box) has the capability of cardsharing (gbox,CCcam etc..)?

no no normal cable box can card share, card share is really for sat boxes

You can do it but its very fiddly !

You need a special device which plugs into your card slot at one end and into an ethernet port at the other. The device acts as a client to the server and converts that info to the correct format for the card-slot.

You initially need to program the device with your boxkey and IRD so that it can encrypt the cw's from the cardserver uniquely to your box.

These devices are quite popular in the US but I must admit to never having seen them for sale for UK cable. You could build one if you have the requisite skills though.

Why would you want to card share? Just get the BK and IRD then modify a card and you are away .

Indeed, a much simpler option and probably one of the reasons that the above mentioned dongle thingies aren't that popular in the UK !
