If you have or have had Sky check you bank account. Sat cov have managed to set up a direct debit on my account without me knowing

I have cancelled it with the bank and have been trying to call the company all day but the line in permanently engaged.

We haven't had any cover for nearly 10 years so where did they get my details from????

Well mate ,similar happened to me, only with CCP [CREDIT CARD PROTECTION]. They "mistakenly" debited money from one of my credit cards to pay for my credit card protection, which was not due for over another year. What made it worse, was i paid them before with a card which was now out of date, so they chose another credit card number which i entrusted to them,to get money of me that was not due. Lucky it was a credit card i seldom used and spotted it right away. I got my money back, but NEVER AGAIN with that company

I had the same problem years ago.I cancelled ccp and they still debited my credit card the year after.I also used to pay my motoring org with my credit card. I found that even If I cancelled the card the companys would just debit the new one.I soon learnt' never pay a subscription with a credit card it is almost imposible to stop it.

hi, i had money took out of my bank account from satcov too. i hav'nt had sky for over a year and a half. i phoned them and they said i will get the money refunded in 28 days as they said it should'nt have come out. i have not received it yet and dont expect too. i have tryed to phone them today and there is a message saying this service is temperary suspended. i did not give them permission to open a dd. i would like to know how they get the bank account details as i have not used these people before.. i have even got bank charges now as another dd was supposed to be paid the same day and it didnt as they took money out. who are these people and what gives them the right to take money from us without us knowing!!!
