Talking have i nearly flashed my ambit 250 modem

hi all, i have just flashed an ambit 250 modem with haxorware, now my question is whats next? i know this has been asked before but some things have changed in the last few months like dynamic configs and not forcing, i will be going round my mates in a few hours [2 miles away] so i will be trying to sniff out a good mac, after i have my mac can i just enter the mac into the main haxo setup page and off i go, do i need to force config or just use the one on the mac? also whats the best way to sniff for a mac that is likley to work and how do i tell the speeds of the mac as it doesn't show me the configs when sniffing, hope you understood all that , thanks in advance.

Hi

Im not that hot on modems but first things dont force config but just get online first, you can sniff for macs from your house using DHCP Sniffer.

Even when you have sniffed macs doesnt mean you will get online with 1st mac you may have to try a few before you find a good one and you may also have to mess about with the settings that work for you.

Regards

Start by not forcing anything.

MACS you sniff from home will be from your own node so therefore will be in the main, unusable. Sniff from your friends house with Solster's DHCP Sniffer for a couple hours.

The speed that the MAC will get can be derived from the BOOTFILE that is listed in the sniffer next to the MAC address.

After you have gathered a few MAC's and managed to get the modem operational, then is the time to start messing about with other configs and stuff. Start out with the basics first then work your way up from there. It's easier to eliminate problems that way.

Sniffing in Pure still works with results given by Solsters, been stable for 3 days so far

cheers for all your helps guys, just need help on one other thing as i still aint got online, i have been sent a list of macs outside my ubr but the configs of the macs are from another modem [120] mine is 250 does that make a difference if im using macs from other modems than 250 macs, i have tried 5 so far but none have worked so not sure if im wasting my time here, also when scanning macs does the software scan macs just from virgin media modems? cheers.

Can he use the MAC's he mentions? I went to someone's house last night and sniffed from his old webstar modem. I have an ambit200, will these MAC's work?

Also, when sniffing from my own gaff I get blank configs, blank gateway and the address is 192.168.100.x. Where am I going wrong? If I connect my legit modem it can sniff no problem.
