Pace Di4001N-Where to Start

Hi folks
I was wondering where to start with this Box that I received.
It comes with the original NTL viewing card.
I have my d-box 2 running ok 100% on Lakystylas and sheesh that was an education getting that off the ground.So now Im onto the above mentioned box. let me see if I have this the right way around

1 Disable talkback- Done that
2 Get a P&P Simm
3 Fiddle around...read the forum posts for 3 hours and then ask for help.


Where do I get the P&P simm? por favor
What else should I do?I can get the FTA channels on the PACE and disabled the interactive part.I keep getting the message your smartcard is invalid although I expected that.What would be the next step?Im willing to swap a working keys folder for the d-box 2 for some info.

What I really want to know is if I can connect up my crossover cable and null modem cable then maybe FTP do a keys folder and FLASH the box just like I do with my d-boxes.Im familiar with d-box terms as the forum is jam packed with help but on steep learning curve with this box
or is it a matter of getting the led simm?(e-bay/lincsat) then doing the manual/programming work.

If only it was as simple as that. You would need a led simm i am affraid mate to retreive the BK and IRD . There is an led simm on flea-bay going cheap at the moment with 2 days left , item number 140325981701. Keep an eye on it.

Thank you my friend for the information. I kinda know what you are hinting at with taking it one step at a time.
OK Ill get the led simm 1st and then see how Ill take it from there.
More than half of the enjoyment is getting the thing working rather than actually watching the Channels...if you know what I mean. EG Getting the d-boxes sorted was pure satisfaction... much thanks to techwatch.co.uk and special people there/here

is it normal for the NTL/nagravision card to be quite hot?
The plastic has deformed on the reverse side behind the chip.

Do you have a phoenix card programmer as u will need one to write the card. Also the card will prob need unlooping so you will need an unlooper aswell. Providing the card hasnt been hit and you can still read it you wont even need the Led Simm as you may be able to get the BK and IRD off the card.

Hi

Have a look in for trades and wants at bottom of forum see if someone is selling proggy and looper usually there is or have a look at lincsat a reputed trader on here.

Bk= Boxkey
IRD = Nagra serial code can be got from EM or from scart inside box if needed to.

I put a bid on for £15.01 for the led simm but didnt get it.It went for £16.01

Was that cheap?
