No sat channels

HI GUYS
NEW TO THE SITE.i cant get any sat channels at all.
reset box ,powerscanned ,automatic scanned
put my codes in,seem to get all channels i had
but its been updatin channels for 3 days
they have been doing work in my area ,dont no if its related
wouldn;t mind updating my max 2006 but worried it doesn;t work
please help cheers D

have you tried to turn emulation to enable this is done by pressing menu, language settings, then press 1968 on remote it will then give you a hidden screen scroll down to emulation and make sure its enabled

hi bud thanx for your help,but when i go into language sets,all i can do is select english etc,dont see where i could type1968

when you get into language settings there isn't a choice of 1968, you have to point your remote at the box and press the 1968 digits on the remote
and as suggested enable emmulation and emm capture

If you are putting codes in manually (have you successfully put codes in before) make sure they are the latest ones and when you go into the menu/yellow button check that they are the same as whatever the latest codes you inputted

hi done that reset again.still zilch ,any ideas

are you using the correct symbol/baud rate for your area

where are you from (nearest town)
do you know who your original cable provider was
which cable providers codes are you putting in
Have you ever manually put the codes in before and they have worked.

if you want to update your firmware we can talk you through it.
