Default Backup Games

I think I'm probably going to ask a daft question but I can't find the answer to it, so here goes. Why is it not possible to make a direct copy of a game or any other format? Is it not possible to copy every 1 and 0 on the disk and put it on another disk in exactly the same place?

Cheers

I think it's to do with the machines they use which are very expensive i think they call it stamping or printing discs? but if you had one of these machines you could make exact copys until your hearts content

its got hidden sectors on it, only the 360 drive can pick them up, if you had a backup of a game you could make a direct copy of that

You can make a backup of an original XBox 360 game. You need either a Kreon drive, 0800 drive or any dual layer drive which you can use to rip games using WxRipper.

Im sure if you used a normal drive you'd have to put in the security sectors, dmi etc manually
