Okay thanks Tried that clicked on sidewinder black screen same thing no detection clicked on sidewinder find bk no detection
I manage to save screen image in snagit
Says not detected check flash / com port/ power I am using my SB psu @ 9v and then 12v on amp meter shows 9v @ 9.4v ish on 12v shows 12v surge 12.5v

Its got power
I then tried g8's sulution to no cable present fixed unlooper directly to mobo serial port
Using sidewinder I got Black screen (stayed on this time) saying checking port and running numbers 0-9 continuously 0-9
9v 12v for 5 mins gave up!

went to winexplorer load mike data script click on confiig port com1

got reset card failed

tried com2 got the same then pc crashed!!!

How do I flash this SOB ?

I know that people on this forum have got this powersync and are asking the same question I am surely someone knows how it works as I have seen the same questions but no one after being helped has ever come back to say Thanks for that Ive cracked it and this is what I did???

I think you gave up too quick m8, sometimes it couple of seconds but other time it could take up to 1 hour, once you get the black screen and you see things like dots just leave it detect the port, once the port is detected it will start doing the job for you.

m8 i had this prob with mine 4 some reason .it not work with sidewinder, if its flashed right . it will work ! mine works a treat with win explora . pops the rom 10,& 11 in secs , >>""

I tried g8,s directly to mobo but is on her-in-doors pc and she not happy her pc tied up "such a sweetheart"
I have ordered another serial cable as atm I am using a M-M and F-F making the cable 5m long I think that could be the issue also I will flash unlooper again,I have read the note pad in glithin tuts and s/w but as I am not making a proper connection I will wait for new cable and do it again

As I said in post I was using missus pc and she not happy I have about 5 pc and a laptop but hers is the only one I can get to the back of

I will go again on new cable when I get it

Hi all, with new seial cable wasnt reconised in winexplorer unlooper? When in "sidewinder find my BK" I have a black screen and I have this happening

Loader inspector


Testing...... 09 etc then a series of no.s and letters

been doing this about 20 mins on.. rom 11 rev B0D

Is this doing its job or is it failing to use com port again?

also does anyone know what the screw position should be in blue box(pot)

ie,, fully in or out or where???

I have found out at least the com port default is com:2 I think?

Hello m8, yes that's fine the unlooper is doing its job, sometimes it takes an hour or so but other times less than a minut.
When you start your unlooper turn the pot clockwise untill it clicks then turn anticlockwise 6 full turns, for ROM11 VCC should be between 21 & 28 m8.

Update for anybody interested in the powersync

Right okay, didnt use the serial cable this time, to make sure, less parts less problems, just plugged straight into serial port (g80878 idea works great) removing lugs and elastic band to keep it from sagging..(Ran out of chewing gum)lol

Flashed to ps using XPATMEL v1.31 and newd 11,

and then followed the basics to glitching in the dummies guide in downloads using win-explorer.

Put in a rom11B0D and made a cuppa, 5mins I heard beep beep
looked at pc and it says all bugs etc.

Read in usb infinite programmer gave me box key.

2 more rom11 B0d about the same time...... VERY GOOD....

ROM10 a86 took 10hrs or so,and came back with a 56 d6 bk bad for me but quick glitching NO SETTING CHANGES

All in all I am happy with the ps

wicked m8 .looks like u have it working .... its nice to hear it .beep beep ...beep .lol. , iv not done a rom10 . but wow 10 hrs .thats along time m8 iv herd they take some time tho! ..but "yea" it pops the rom11 in mins .........nic 2 know uv sorted it m8 .....
