Default Star View Timer

Hey,

I have a Star View 4.00e_E Boot Version 7.00 and was wondering if it is possible to get it to turn over automatically using the timer system? I tried it earlier but it didn't appear to work. Should it do?

Hi, if your talking about the starview usb 4 with the 1.7 loaded then there is a way to record without manual activation. Enter the EPG, press the red button on the channel you wish to record; this enters the more detailed EPG. Go down to required programme and press the red record button, a little red record button should appear next to the required programme. Now comes the crucial part, turn OFF the machine. The starview will automatically turn on when it is time to record your programme. Whilst recording it will display ---- on the led screen. You can avoid going into the more detailed screen and use the little red record button direct on the multi programme EPG. It will inform you that it is going to record by turning the programme an orange. Hope this helps.

It's one of the original ones.

When you go into the user setup and time settings there is a wakeup timer option where you select a time and channel, but it doesn't seem to turn over. I might try turning it off though and see what happens (kind of defeats the object though)
