As stated a quick guide to unlocking the samsung e250.
1. First you need to do a CUSTOM reset: *2767*2878# 2. Take a wrong network SIM (which the phone wont accept) and insert it whilst the phone is ON, without taking the battery out. 3. Make a FULL reset: *2767*3855# 5. The phone should reboot working with "wrong" sim inside, and it will accept it. 6. Change the NCK password to 8 zeros: *7465625*638*00000000*00000000# 7. Disable network lock: #7465625*638*00000000# NOTE: Only unlocks to a single network, i.e, the sim you have inside when entering the code, so you might have to do it one-by-one, for each network. Hint-if you bend the sim card slightly and put it in the sim slot but not fully in place before you start helps when getting to stage 2 as pushing the sim in with the battery in place is real tricky. .

as i have mentioned before in this section be very wary of using codes to unlock samsung handsets as this could render your mobile phone useless by changing your imei number to 000000000000000. you have been warned

Very true, although an IMEI of all zeroes can be fixed using an unlock/repair box. These boxes are usually expensive but you local phone shop will unlock/repair your phone for a small fee.

Hi, after kind of messing this up by realising that I hadn't quite fully inserted my new sim card, I shoved it in that bit further then followed item 3 again:
3. Make a FULL reset: *2767*3855# and it just immediately recognised my new sim card and worked perfectly. Just one of those strange moments where I've tried everything on google, then some obscure cock up of your excellent instructions ended up working! Thanks very much! |
