no ppv or epg

Hi Guys..need a little help with ppv..I recently flashed with the new commando 11 (hats off to all the people tht worked on it)

when I first flashed everything worked fine but after a day the 2 ppv channels are gone.ie only black screen,
any ideas where the have gone?
also the epg dose not load all channels usually only channels i have viewed these 2 problems I had on my old image as well (lincsat 7.2 fullish.

I am on telepest...

any help would be greatly appreciated

Didn't think the ppv showed up until there was an event on?

The no epg is a common prob with commando 11 and tel/vm, I also don't have epg on the majority of channels. hopefully they will find a solution.

Can't wait for a epg fix as thats the only thing letting such a good image down

do u mean none at all, not even now / next? or for 7 days? what have u got settings on?

No epg at all on the majority of them, not even now and next. Ive changed the settings to standard epg incase it was struggling with the 7 day. But even ch1-5 has no epg. Been through the whole procedure of leaving on stand by and epg channel etc. Other people have been reporting the same problem.

I get only wots on now or next no 7 day and very few channels!

I also have a few channels missing : s*y 2 and SK*3 dose any1 else have that?

Having channels missing is either a sign that you have not scanned recently (channels move frequently), you have scanned the wrong or an incomplete list of frequencies, or you have a signal issue at certain transponder frequencies (very common).

Really, its about time the dbox/dreambox software bods wrote a proper channel mapper routine that loads channel data from the NIT datastream and sets things up the proper way rather than all this unnecessary scanning mallarky !

i think the you will find that the new scanning routine has been gone over by the best there is in the dbox scene

I had issues finding sly1 and a few others , Done a fast scan this morning and all has returned . Still got a few EPG issues , But got all channels back now

I could, and have explained it many times - unfortunately they either dont understand or are so entrenched in their thinking that they are unwilling to change.

Its really not difficult though. The complete NIT is available on all transponders (always on the same standard PID) and gives a list of all services available for each and every NIT area. From there, its not difficult to build a full and complete services table. You can even extract channel order information so that your channels will be ordered the same way as a VM subbed box.
