Exclamation BBC Persian 3.1E

BBC Persian (UK)

Eutelsat W2M

11472V
27500 2/3

FTA programming transmitting in Persian for the Iranian market. Started here due to intense jamming being carried out by Iranian authorities which has been disrupting the Hotbird transmission

Default Re: BBC Persian 3.1E

Will an 88cm dish pick up 3.1E up in Hull?

Wife been reduced to watching BBC Persian online since the Hotbird broadcast was tampered with!!!
She'd be a little happier if I can scan this one in.

Never heard of a satellite @ 3.1E, is that a new one?

Its the wonky Eutelsat W2M. She suffered a power failure during the drift from In Orbit Testing, but has enough life left in her for limited service.

Shes been fired up at 3.1 E for feeds and occasional broadcast use.

You shouldnt have any problem at all with an 88cm dish - if its not raining i can just about get some of the tests on my 5E dish! Now thinking of adding another dish to my already extensive setup specifically for 3.1E
