Programmer on its way, the .hex files that i need to load in. where do i get them?? also i live in an area which is virgin = telewest is there any specific things i need do?

private fta>some download links>copy the link for other cable boxes and paste it to a new webpage then go to HEX-FUNCARDS-ETC and it will b there.

i have downloaded that there is only 1 .hex file as the tutorial uses 3.

the tut is presuming your doing a card from scratch. as you already have a card done all you need to do is overwrite the flash.

Ok, so i dont need to erase the card then first like it says? which steps do i need take?

which box would i load the updated hex file?

there is 3 bits to a funcard..

internal eeprom, refered to as int
external eeprom, refered to as ext
and flash

ext is the bit where the box key and ird are,
int is no longer used in viewing cards
and the flash is the bit which processes keyrolls ect.

you just need to overwrite the flash file, unless, when your programmer arrives you find the flash is locked
