Hi guys,

I'm trying to unlock my sisters phone for her,

It's a W580i as per thread title, I've done everything but now get: "Configuration error. Please contact your network operator or service centre" when I enter an o2 sim, when before it just said "insert correct sim" (phone is on Orange btw).

I've flashed the main firmware, file system & custom pack as well as writing a quick access patch & unlock patch to the phone, but I'm still getting the error as above.

All I can think of is, I've flashed the wrong files &/or files not compatable with each other.

What I've flashed:

1. Main FW = W580_R8BA024_MAIN_ORANGE_LA_RED52.mbn

2. File System = W580_R8BA024_FS_S_E_EUROPE_RED52.fbn

3. Custpack = HB_1-06_Gen_CDA102568_3_R9A_GENERIC_S_E_EUROPE

Does this look right?

All I want to do is unlock it to any network, which I think I've done, but the configoration is wrong.

Tutorial On How To Patch Unlock Db2020 Phones For Free - SE-NSE Forums - Sony Ericsson Forum and Community the firmware files are just to debrand, not unlock. Follow the link I put above and do each step.

Slightly different to the tut I followed, still the same outcome.

All sorted now. I forgot to rename the custpack I downloaded.
