New 20Meg Config File

Don't know whats happened there, but looks to me like the ping and upload are giving results similar to 10MB, and the second time the upload and ping time are actually slower than the first result where the download speed was slower.

its either cached, your running multiple modems, or your not telling the whole truth, ethernet is only capable of 100MBPS

whoever's running 50MB, i thought the ambits were only capable of running 20MB?

My ambit maxes out at 43Mb

this has worked ok for me. I'm downloading and i have got 13.45MB/Sec i joined this forum just to tell you guys

i am very new to this modem stuff, i purchased a SB5101e which i recieved today. i found the people on sbhackers.net not very helpful and wouldn't tell anyone anything (although they were quick to take my money to buy a modem)

i understand the stuff that can be done with them isn't legal, but it's only for educational purposes

The ping is not related to the config file at all.

isn't that quite risky? n00b question.. but the way the guy explained how to add the 20 meg config in this post.. is that as easy for all of them?

Not risky at all.

Some people will try scare you saying that it is, but at the end of the day, if you can run it, by all means do. Those that can are doing so, and why not? It's just as risky as forcing any config that is not assigned to that MAC.

It has been made unavailable in a lot of areas now, so if you are lucky enough to be able to make use of it then go for it I say!
