Great unit, very quick and easy to install, do not have a motorised dish but you can do advanced settings if you have one.

I have played back some digital photos both through the SD card reader and alsom wirelessly via my router. I bought the WLAN adaptor as well.

Not easy to track down at present, i spoke to TechniSat rep on phone who said it is available at maplins online and in Currys and Comet in a couple of weeks time.

Nice to get a decent warranty from a manufacturer as well.

Why the hefty price tag?
What additional featues does it have compared to the Humax Foxsat?

Made in Germany-perhaps thats why? They may be more reliable than Chinese made goods eg: Nokia's are made in Europe and they're one of the most reliable brand of phone

3 Year warranty and great build plus decent picture with future ability of PVR by USB is why

My question was in general, and not directed at southernsatellite.
I'm aware of Technisat's quality,as I already own the DigitMF4-S and Skystar 2(both with 3 years warranty).
However,as southernsatellite, has clarified,it is PVR ready, hence the reason, why its more expensive compared to the other freesat models.
Thanks,for the confirmation.
Once I've got rid my Foxsat, the Technisat is going on my shopping list.

Plus 2 x USB, decent VFD Display, MMC/MS,SD and Compact Flash card readers and the ability to stream media wirelessly ( with Technisat WLAN adaptor ) this means i will be able to stream BBC i-player wirelessly via ny box when i-player is launched.
