What does it show on the top left of the box.
If it shows Starview it means you have a Starview 1 clone

Yes, but is it a clone or genuine Starview 1? You need to check so that you can get the right image for the box. If you flash the wrong one, you need to use a JTag to recover it. Look at this image: Imageshack - cs3lo0.jpg.

you need the cryptstar v1.5 core 257 this is the clonesafe version
you load it to your box using the gtrom v4.0 loader

Default Starview 3 8.02e firmware

Hi,

I am trying to find "idiots" instructions on how to flash 8.02e on a starview 3,but I have not had any luck so far.
Some one flashed mine (last year) as I am not a tekie.
Cannot get in touch with as he is hols.

Which one do you have to choose app file only or channel data file?

Is the download or the upload do you have to select?

Thank you in advance
Regards

Please ignore the previous post as I have managed to sort it. It is app file only & download

Thank you
