I'd hardly call Setanta "big boys".

Satanta isn't big boys, do you not remember the crappy advert they had when they first arrived?

I think its been plagued with problems from the start, even some people paying subscription couldn't get a signal, and satanta refused to co-operate with the problem...even if it was just a case of aligning the satellite, im sure if they sorted simple yet important problems out like that, they may still be here today, but makes no difference to me

There was nothing wrong with the downlinked signal strength. It was invariably a problem with marginal alignment of the satellite dish - and THAT is the punters responsibility to get fixed..

One piece of good news is that ESPN America has moved into the basic Sky 6-mix. Its in the News & Events pack so if you get Eurosport you now get ESPN Yankee as well.

Terrestrial Topup/Setanta customers can have it enabled on their card (for free, for a period), it is transmitting on the former Setanta space on DTT.

I think a clever move by them. I reckon they probably get less people subscribing to news/events as TBH, news can be seen on the free channels or people can get news online. Not too sure about Eurosport viewer's though. They know that as ESPN has bought some rights for certain programmes, then it will be like a mini Setanta and theres more money involved there. Bastards!

Glad they've gone TBH. A shambles of a company.
