Exclamation Setanta bust

They dropped into administration about half an hour ago. All channels will cease in the near future:

It's a huge blow for boxing and I'm a HUGE fan of that. Especially with I.t.v pulling Plug on it aswell

Not a problem for me, but what about people who have paid subscriptions?

Any word of refunds or anything of a similar nature?

I'm sure alot of members will be asking the question soon enough.

It's potentially good news for Sports fans, as they won't have to pay multiple subscriptions to get all the Sports - however, when ESPN takes over, there will be another subscription fee there.

Even if you took out a subscription literally last month? Surely then, the subscription would be refunded prior to taking out the new ones?

Err no - Setanta customers with money owing are unsecured creditors. Which means if you get thruppence back you will be lucky.

ESPN has bought the sports rights nothing more, they havent taken over the Setanta operation.
