Hi I hope someone can help to explain how to download the latest patch to a beginner. I understand that I'll need a tm loader and a Darkman patch. I have a Technomate 5200 and I'm trying to unscramble my favourite programmes. I can't find where to download these. Help please?

Patching your Technomate 1000 series I belive that the procedure for the 5200 is very similar, if using a cable. Robbo ![]()

Hi
Apologies for the daft question. I am considering patching my technomate 1000 D SUper. If I do this, will i have to reinstall my satellite positions I have saved on it or will it retain this info? |

Tati
I have been having similar problems. I suspect that it is because the USB serial cables we have both purchased dont work properly with windows. XP is reluctant to download the driver that came with mine and I cant get it to work. I bought mine on fleabay(thought it was UK but arrived from HK). The only ones I have seen in a shop are from maplin(£30!!!). Will have to bite the bullet and spend more on a dongle from a reputable supplier |

It seems that no 2 work the same - I have supplied one to a customer with a Technomate, He uses Vista. The device installed first time and connected to the Technomate with no problems at all.
Others have reported that they can't get the hardware to install in Vista at all, most seem to install in XP, if you use the supplied drivers and UART. I'm convinced it's a winblows problem rather than a hardware problem.
