ok, i get the message that i need to rescan, but as we know all the faves will be messed up.

so is this the correct approach to sort it out or is there some other way?

1. Do a powerscan
2. Download the service file from the box to laptop
3. Sort channels using Voxer
4. Upload sorted file to box

Even easier way, go into the install menu and rather than do powerscan press the red button which will update channels. Takes about 5 mins, doesnt look for transponders just updates channels. This way all your favourites dont change and you dont have to set them all again. Have used this method on both my EX1000 and Max V and works perfectly, not sure about the older models......

I have the EX1000SL and this doesn't seem to help my channels

are you following s4ddys post because if vm have moved frequencies updating channels will only scan the freq you already have therefor you either need to manually add a freq or do a full rescan to retrieve these
