I use dreamweaver for coding from starting.
It is so easy software for both coding and designing.

Definitely Dreamweaver...there is absolutely no comparison...Notepad can be useful if you have a low amount of RAM in your system though.

Lol...Notepad if you don't have enough RAM...Dreamweaver is a very good piece of software to use for webdesign...it's the leading software choice for that field...

Depends on what your using it for, I would prefer Dreamweaver For designing and Notepad for coding.

Dreamweaver is useful with PHP because it does the nice PHP code highlighting.

You can download many notepad replacements that do this highlighting too.

Dreamweaver has lots of good PHP connectivity - though I have not used it really myself as I am more of a graphic designer than a coder.

Dreamweaver is worth buying if you spend a lot of time designing in a WYSIWYG interface. As for PHP-only stuff I don't think it's worth the investment.

Plenty of free alternatives.

I use Dreamweaver in code view, I love the way it auto closes tags etc. Really does save so much time!

i use notepad, i like doing things my own way and it helps me remember ways of doing things - also, i'll be looking for a notepad alternative that supports colour coding, tabbing, etc so i can read code more easily
