Lol...Notepad if you don't have enough RAM...Dreamweaver is a very good piece of software to use for webdesign...it's the leading software choice for that field...

Dreamweaver is useful with PHP because it does the nice PHP code highlighting.
You can download many notepad replacements that do this highlighting too. Dreamweaver has lots of good PHP connectivity - though I have not used it really myself as I am more of a graphic designer than a coder. Dreamweaver is worth buying if you spend a lot of time designing in a WYSIWYG interface. As for PHP-only stuff I don't think it's worth the investment. Plenty of free alternatives. Phil |

![]() I have Dreamwever 8 and Microsoft Expression and i find them both quit good, i built my own site as a personal family site for Video, photos etc and I'm very happy with it Ann ![]()

i use notepad, i like doing things my own way and it helps me remember ways of doing things - also, i'll be looking for a notepad alternative that supports colour coding, tabbing, etc so i can read code more easily
