as the newer dreamboxes have usb is there a way to get them working and on the net using one of these usb mobile modems

Im talking direct in the receivers usb port not using an old pc as a gateway

I ask as have another location id like to set up a linux box but no internet at this location

Try a mobile broadband router. I doubt Dreamboxes would have the drivers and software to connect to the net through a dongle alone
