Hi,
I have an old ntl box chipped with card. Would it be possible to convert this card to work on a V+ box ? I figure that i'd have to do something to the V+ box but how would i do this ? Many Thanks |

Sorry mate unless you got V+ with the card and it's still paired you have no chance of getting a V+ box working! The card and box are tied to each other (paired) if you buy a V+ that somebody used to a sub for and they cancelled their sub and left the V+ connected VM send a command to box and change the information on the card so it will not work!

As said above, the card is paired to and contains the Box Key for that specific box. You would need the card from the V+ (unless the Box Key has been written on the box previously) to read the Box Key so using the card from your current box would be pointless anyway as you would just use the card from the V+
.

As said in previous posts , You need the original card that came with the V+ box , Hopefully for you the card would still be paired , as without this the box is at best a freeview recorder. You need to unloop the card and see what BK the card holds Hopefully not the dreaded 6d 56 . Should the card return a valid BK you will get all the channels plus your one and only HD channel.
