Easy Steps to install or refresh Flash on Nokia Dbox2

Hi,

I messed up my box and lost all the channels except 1-5. The EPG was working fine but blank screen on all channels except 1-5. I tried scan and found that my box had reset it self to the german settings.

Here is the tutorial on how to flash your Nokia Dbox2 without crossover cable and via the router!!!

before you disconnect your dbox go to setting or services>network and take the ip address down (everything!!). configure your pc so that it has these ip settings. now do the below.

1. disconnect the internet cable from the router
2. connect the dbox2 to the router ethernet via normal cable (do not power the dbox!)
3. go to your pc and download the IFA program and install it. i got the hallenberg.com the website is in German but the program can be installed in english. its actually really easy for newbies like me!
4. now get your img file from the here
5. make sure you go to x2 folder at the top, as nokia dbox2 have 2 chips hence x2.
6. download the img you require ie commando 11 or Lincsat etc... i used the lincsat.beta7.25-fullish.2x.rar
7. extract the file using winrar or any other tool.
8. now run the ifa software
9. on the top field add you extracted img file.
10. on the next field select your router
11. leave the rest and click on start
12. you get a message about this will start the flash or something just click OK
13. now you get a waiting for dbox message...
14. NOW quickly power up your dbox...
15. it should start up and freeze at booting, if it doesn't freeze then unplug and and replug the dbox.. (may take a few attempts)
16. look at you pc and the progress bar should start...
17. the progress bar only goes about a quarter of the way. dont worry this is normal!
18. go to your dbox and on the lcd display it should say DBOX IFA etc... let it finish doing what its doing...
19. once it has finished (about 10-15mins max).. the lcd will have smiley faces.
20. thats it now unplug everything and connect your dbox to tv and power up.
21. initially it will say please can for channels..
22. go to the scan for channles screen, turn off fast scan, then start scan this will take about 20mins to fully complete.
23. thats it all done!
