Hello guys here is the problem i have.
My cousin has this laptop but his cd drive wont work its fooked so u cant really boot it from cd is there any other ways to install vista like from usb stick or external hard drive thanks Try lookin on google but not much help |

Why not get a new drive fitted - they are dead cheap nowadays....

i dont think u can boot from a USB drive. does this laptop have an existing operatin system on it? if so then you can upgrade to vista by loadin ur existin OS and open vista Setup.exe file from your usb.
I dont know of any other way, except like the other guy said gettin a new cd drive. |

ok but why is it running slow?? Does he have viruses on the system? Does he have enough RAM available for background/open applications which run standard when windows start? Would using MSCONFIG help him out more than simply re installing the whole OS?
Do you have an external DVD drive which you could use to install windows?? Regards Craig |
