7000EX Eurovox no EPG data

I've recently bought a new 7000ex box as i was upgrading from the Black V to get HD.

The upgrade went great but now when I bring up the EPG there is no information on the content of the program, it only states the title of the program..

Anyone else had this issue? is it just because the 7000 is a shonky box or am i doing something wrong?

no you are not doing anything wrong it's just a crap epg on that box i am sick of having to look in a mag to find out what the prog is about.

For the price I paid for it, i expect the EPG to friggin work!

I'm gonna be getting rid of an EX7000HD! anyone fancy one? PM me.

There are a few known issues with the firmware that are preventing this being an exceptional box.

I've not tried this but - look for a channel called PVR_EPG and park it on there for 15 minutes, then see if you get EPG data, works on a D-box

Yeah, no such channel on the Eurovox boxes.

Guess i'll just have to go with no HD..It's not worth opting for just one HD channel for the sake of a functional EPG

Any ideas when the new firmware is due out?

I've got it here in Pure NTL. You can try a channel on the same Tdr - FX in pure or TV5 in TW land, also "Live Events" in some areas.

I've just tried one here and get 3 full days EPG after just 5 minutes on PVR_EPG, rebooted and tried it on FX with the same result. No extended data, but a full listing.

I dont suppose there is anyway to obtain the descriptions too? or are we awaiting the potential firmware upgrade for this?

Lincsat, do you have direct contact with the creators of the firmware?
