first this is going to be long ,
step by step what i have done , formatted computer which is now running xp sp3 , installed network 2 restarted comp , installed vj restarted copied ocx to system 32 and registered them also as is stated on here , altered network connection to 192.168.100.10 and so on ,checked comport settings com1 and altered to match hyper, connected modem with now the second max232 from TMC tested in hyper so i know lead is right way round , read modem in hyper , opened console unlocker and run failed but then stated unlocked but may have to manually disable DS , started softjtag connected to modem then failed , tested serial connection in amchobit which states serial connection failure. I think i am headbutting a brick wall can anyone please tell me the solution have spent long time trawling forums with no definate solution . Thank you in advance

any lights flashing? can you get into 192.168.100.1 ?

presumably its a 250 or 255?

if you just get the power light on and the one next to it slowly going on and off its a brick mate. pm me if you want it lifting

yeah got both 250/255 have not tried this yet will try now cheers m8 , power light on ethernet light on solid and another flashing constant

as a general guideline, if you set pc nic to obtain ip and dns automatically and when you plug modem in and power on it says limited connectivity, its bricked.

no m8 modem states connectivity allowed and get thru to virgin set up been tryin for a month with no success as yet

You shouldn't have the coax cable connected until the very end when you are ready to go online
