Default Help please - Eurovox ex1000 with splitter

Hi

I'm a bit new to all this and need advise please. I have Virgin Media TV, Broadband and phone package. I have also got a Eurovox ex1000 sl box and a splitter kit. I want to run both the Virgin set-top box and the eurovox box at the same time (I've heard its safer to have both as it does not arouse suspicion at Virgin). The question is what is the best way to install the splitter.

Do I:
1) Take the feed cable out from the back of the Virgin set top box and put the splitter on this cable then feed one end back into the Virgin set top box and the other into the Eurovox.

2) Take the feed cable out of from the back of the modem and put the splitter on this cable then put one end back into modem and other end into Eurovox.

3) Somewhere else?

Sorry if I seem a bit daft with this stuff but I just want to be sure I'm doing it right!!

Thanks

Tommy

Thanks for this. Ok. So splitting either cable is the same thing. Would you have a preferrance?

Also am I correct in thinking the Eurovox box does not send signals back to Virgin so if I take the cable from the back of my Virgin set-top box and split from there then plug the Virgin one back in and plug the other splitter cable into the Eurovox (so both are on and working), Virgin will get signals back from the Virgin set top box but not from the Eurovox box. In effect they will not know that I've got a Eurovox box and think everything is normal and the way it was?

Thanks for your help..
