Ambit 250 with Infinite

OK, I've tried searching and the more I look the more I get confused.

Is there instructions of what settings to change by continuing to use Infinity as I don't have the Max232 cable to flash Hexaware.

Plus what settings do I need to change from the original settings that were working up until mid april before it got knocked off. And can I still use the sniffed mac that had been working fine and change the configs.

Help please, in the Glasgow area on PureHell if that makes any difference.

So tell me.. Is the modem working or not? In two parts of your post you state that it both works and does not..

Forcing does not work. (Very, very few members have been successful)
Autoserving does not work. (again, very few are successful)

Check your stealth settings, are they current and correct?

Pull off and attach your modems logs to a text doc and perhaps then some tech-savvy infinate users will be able to help you.

Edit: Were you forcing before the modem died? If so, your area is likely now dynamic, and thus forcing will not work, period.

The modem is NOT WORKING, I'm only getting access just now at work. I've no idea if I was forcing or if it was autoserving. I used TeleNet to do a few comands and then ambit config tool to to the second part of the configureation.

Sorry if I'm not being clear but as you can see I have little knowledge but I'm good at following clear instructions.

You can install haxorware to your modem without the need for rs232, there is infact even a tutorial for it, perhaps you should give it a go?

Cheers for that I'll give it a go tonight and see how I get on. So what about the MAC I was using, will it still be good or will I need to sniff in another area all over again ?

Depends, if the mac is still valid, and not blacklisted by now, then yes it will still work.

To be fair, I would scan few new ones anyway, I did, only for 20minutes, got 8 results and the first one in the list worked fine and still is today! (3 weeks 2 days later)

If you get stuck while trying to flash it, don't dispair or do anything hastily, come back and post the issue, I will do my best to help you, as I'm sure others will too.

I can tell you this, provided you read the tutorial fully and understand it before you start, you cannot go wrong - I read it 3 times over before I did anything and even now after flashing a good dozen or so modems, I still revert back to tutorials, just to be sure, despite nearly knowing them by heart now!
