ok some info i would like to share that could help us all with v plus boxes

ok think of this:

a installer is installing a v plus box and its stuck on ap 52 ( net id wrong ) so he trieds to use his pda to hit the box and it just still sits there doing nothing and is starting to look a ****.....

ok some info now people

OPS ( call center for hitting the boxes ) has a new hit called a SW hit aka network id hit. They send this to the box and WOW the box in 10 seconds is updating its net id and scrolling a hit

Now this hit aka flash could be usefull for people like me who dont wanna lift chips and means it can be done via a flash??? and card?

what do you all think? or know to pass this info on to the gods who make flashes?

it can be done with a card, only from 09999 thou.

By what you say, do you mean activating the box using this "flash"? I have a 2110C that needs activating lol.

sorry been busy

at work if the box has the wrong area id and can still be use ( ie same telwest area) they just send a hit to the box now called SW means if we can get this info we dont have to lift chips to reset it @

Ohh so it just changes the Net ID? I was on about activating the box

You'll need to try logging a hit so you'll have to set up to log all comms between the box and the card. Once you've got the info you could then try replaying it and see how the box responds.

Normally, a hit would consist only of a NetId set command which requires the NetId to be in its 9999 state. You possibly need to log the NetId reset command, which is rarely seen.
