which method do you reckon i should go for? i'm a complete noob to this so would need a bit of an idiots guide..

also, i tried looking for boxget pc2 in the 'other cable tv' downloads sections but didnt manage to find it.

i've already got xncs as part of the v+ application 1.1, but not sure how to use it

thanks.

Default Re: Reprogramming a V+ card

just tried that tutorial abbs. went through it all, although when i clicked 'read card' after i had reset card i got a popup saying: 'error with image fat'

but also got the following message in the msg window:

ATR=*******
Info=DNASP011 RevB09
Retrieving card info...
Card info retrieved
Dumping card,try #0.
The Card Was dumped sucessfully....!!!
ID=0, @D280

there was nothing in line c040, all 00's although there was some data in c070.

tried to read the card again in nagraedit and it is the same as before, i think the problematic lines are:

Attempting to restore BackDoor 0 key
Attempting to login to BD3
BD3 login failed
Write error encountered, attempting to restore original decrypt keys

ProviderID: 5C
Attempting to login to BD3
Decrypt keys successfully restored
Reading ROM11 failed
Closing of COM1 was successful

is this card screwed?

Closing of COM1 was successful

i know how to add a blank one in, but don't know what values to put in all the boxes..

In Rights and Expiry Dates, use 399f. This works fine for me and all the cards I have done haven't been hit .

ok just to confirm, do i leave the rest of the fields as 00 00? e.g. system id, rights identifier, theme etc. as they currently are all 00 00...

Ignore those, just edit the ones I said and write the card.
