image converter

i used to have a image conveter to do the dbox, ie take the hole image out of the dbox and to put it into a folder on my desc top,oops pc went pear shaped now cant get them back,, new i should of saved it all, anyway, whats the best software to use to take the hole image out of the dbox2 , save it just in case i get another knock on the door, asking can i help with there box,????? and also what soft ware is used on the dreambox 500c, to take the image out of mine as a full image, complete image, and put the same image using dreamup, thks all

On the D box ,just push
D box
Service
Imageupgrade/backup/restore
select backup/one/partition
FLASH WITHOUT BOOTLOADER
Image is then saved as mtd3 or mtd4 in the tmp folder of the d box
Just FTP in and save the full image to the Desktop of your PC....Paul

thks mate,, so iv done that what you recomended, saved to my folder on desktop, now i guess if or when i need to re flash the or some1s box, just use image flashing assistant ?????? and use that image i just got from my box,??? if so,, many thks,, last time i done a image from my box,i used some other soft ware to make the image ??
