Default user friendly soldwering kit

Hi pple

after killing 2 SA-2100 and 200/100 trying to put pin headers I thought I should ask this.

is there a user friendly or soldering kit that helps those of us who have no talent in this area.

PS: at the mo I have got Beginners Soldering Kit @ £15 from lincsat nic nack shop willing to pay that extra to get one that saves the next modemi try.

thanx

Heres a good tip for you. I can solder but I'm a lazy fooker, what I do is put the pin header into the holes and as long as it is at an angle so that it is making contact, you can successfully JTAG the beast with no problems. Or you can use a USB JTAG and simply hold it in place with your fingers, as USB JTAG is very very fast, as opposed to about 45 minutes with LPT Parallel JTAG. Or... You can get some pogo pins, look for them on fleabay. They can be fitted and removed with no soldering whatsoever and can be used again and again and again.

Or one more thing LOL; I haven't used it myself but you can get "wire glue", it is an electrically conductive glue that you stick the wires/pin header with and it works exactly the same as solder, but you don't have to have any soldering skills at all!

Hope I gave you an insight to the alternatives there.

12W Miniature Soldering Iron Type M > Maplin

15W Miniature Soldering Iron Type C > Maplin

First will do all jobs you may need wii's modems etc what I use for most stuff....

Pin header takes 2 mins m8, warm up the pins a tad with iron, introduce solder couple of blobs near the bottom keeping pins warm it will run down them and sit in the board **** easy, rip something that dont work apart and practice for 20 mins, soon have job sussed

I could do with a decent soldering kit so that I can lift TSOPs properly, V+ 512 chips, pin headers etc. Can somebody recommend a good one for me please?
