PSU rating for Ambit200 + How to tell if bricked

Hey,

Can anyone tell me the exact power rating for a PSU for an ambit200? The one I bought didn't come with a PSU but I have several lying around. Also, does it have to be an exact match?

While i'm here, how can you tell if your modem is bricked?

9-10v centre +ve at approx 1A

If your modem's bricked...it won't work lol

As in it won't switch on at all?

Any idea where I could source the correct PSU? I have a 12v 1A which powers it but would prefer the PSU meant for it.

I'm confused..does it power up or not?

12v 1A should be ok as long as it's a regulated supply. You can get a DC adaptor from anywhere...doesn't matter if its the 'correct' one, just make sure specs are suitable.

I believe stock specs are 10v 1100mA, same for all the 120/200/250/255/256's

And to find out if it's bricked or not is to simply plug in the power supply entnet and cable feed and if you cant get anything like a connection or even 192.168.100.1 page and if the power light is stable but the enet is flashing and no other lights are working then its probs bricked

Ok I can browse to the SIGMA (192) page. I get the power light and the RDY light is solid. So it sounds like it aint bricked.

So the PSU for my 250 will power the 200 with no problems?

In that case all I need are macs which are soo hard to come by.

do a mac scan matey i use "DHCP Sniffer-0.2.3.91b"

can be found in the downloads section

Yeah i've done a scan with that and have macs but you can't use a mac from the same ubr can you? Or can you?
