When reflashed to any box of the same chip type
It should run Exactly the same
Make sure you backup one partition

Hi

You can back it up now as Paul has said and then sort out your bouquets and back it up again when you are satisfied with the way your bouquets are and that will be your final backup if you know what I mean, then again as Paul has said you can reflash that to any box of same chip type and it will/should work as same.

You may need to up date your services from time to time as there are freq changes going on and people lose channels so an upto date scan might be needed to keep your services xml upto date.

whats the best way to update scan, without having to ftp files over again?

evertime i scan it overwrites previous channels...and the order...

in Service Scan on 'Bouquet' choose 'Leave Current'

newbie here pls help.

i am trying to do the above after having flashed commando 11 using null modem and hyper terminal. i am not sure if i have my hardware connections right. i have tried:

- box connected to pc via ethernet cable and box with aerial input but not coonected to internet.
- pc connected to net with aerial feed into box

but no joy with above. pls advise the right method as i have been trying for days and getting frustrated now.

i have tried flashFXP and cuteFTP but no joy. i have used ip address and subnet as per my dbox. also tried built-in ftp for windows but no joy.

your help is greatly appreciated and many thanks in advance.

I have followed this 100% and am still not getting any channels in the stoke on trent area. My Nokia DBOX2 does a fast scan (nothing) full scan and the same nothing not even fta. The reason i updated the image is because the box decided not to work on Tuesday night no channels. I did a full scan and got nothing. I then follwed a guide o updating the rom with commando 11 and still the same. The on thing i do remember is Tuesday when i rebooted the box it stayed on waiting for time and did nothing hence the rescan. Any help would be appreciated.

hi mate, have you turned evocam and mgcam on? you need to go to the softcam menu to do this. find this by either pressing blue button or dbox botton cant remember

if both cams are on try using a different ucode. i sometimes have to mess around with these to get a box to work. remember to leave it on ss1 or something to let it update.
