Default Fresh Commando 11 flash = no channels :(

been having problems with our nokia dbox2 recently, so reflashed it with Commando 11, set my area (belfast) and scanned for channels.

fast scan found nothing at all, so i turned that off and scanned again. it then found 303 transponders right away, but not a single channel. (i thought the images came ready FTA)

i've since FTP'd the roms and keys (at least i've added what i think are the correct files), scanned again and still nothing.

2 questions...
am i missing a step in the process thats stopping this from working?
and
anything good on tv recently? its been a few days...

ok firstly flash the image onto your box
you then need to get the magic files. so go to the private fta section on this forum and click "some download links" then copy the link for dbox. once you have done this click x2 images folder then scroll down and download the "real-magic.rar file.

now you need to open your ftp program and connect your box to your pc. you then put the keys folder you just downloaded into var/keys. you then put the other folder into var/bin/emu. next you right click on the 2 cam things(sorry for my noobness) then go to properties. enter 755 into the box then click ok.

ok now re connect your box to your tv. once the box has booted upmake sure both your cams are turned on. then set your location and then do a channel scan and hopefully all should be ok.

thanks deasy

started again, and now have 200+ channels. but only channels with picture and sound are the normal 4 plus bbc 3 + 4. seems like the BER is off the scale too.

i don't know how to troubleshoot this. is it the keys? or are the roms at fault? well actually i know what the problem is... me

if you used the real_magic.rar file then the keys and roms are fine. have you made sure both cams are on in the softcam menu?

just changed the ucode from 0014 to 001a and it restarted. put it to sports 1 like you said and let it sit for a bit. scared the clean crap out of me when it came on!

anyways, seems like all the channels are working now for the fun job of sorting the bouquets

thanks for your help and time guys!!

oh, if i was to backup this image using the dbox menu option and save the .img file on the pc, would that allow me to restore the dbox to this current state? or would i still have to add files and tweak the bouquets afterwards?
