Default Running 2 modems side by side

Hi All

I am having an issue which I need your help with.

I currently have 2 Virgin/Ambit 255 modems running side by side connected to one modem.

The problem I have is both modems are picking up identical gateway's.

I did have a Virgin 255 modem and my original Motorola surfboard connected side by side and it was working perfectly and picking up completely separate IP ranges.

However Since i installed the second 255 modem (I only did it to tidy up and get rid of the old surfboard) both modems are getting identical ranges. (see attached image for better explanation)

I was told by a friend that if I configured the frequency on the new modem to the same as the old surfboard then it would pick up a different IP range, I have done this but it has made no difference
Anyone got any ideas?
thanks a lot,
Squishio

ps.

both modems running haxorware v1.1 R.30

from what I can see in the image everything is fine m8 the 2 modems have different ip addresses but are both in the same subnet which is not a problem it just means that they will have the same network and broadcast address this is completely normal m8 nothing to worry about

Wouldn't suggest posting your ip's mate , There are eyes everywhere Mate don't lure yourself into a false sense of security , As many member can be trusted with said information , Cable company investigation teams know where to look and your just signing your own bail sheet posting That information

If this is the case, mod's could you please delete the attached image in the first post in this thread.

I guess you could put them into separate vlans if your router supports it what are you trying 2 achieve with the 2 modems connecting to one router?
