DVB (the symbol looks like DV3) simply stands for Digital Video Broadcast. It is actually split into 3 separate technologies - DVB-T for Terrestrial (freeview), DVB-S for Satellite and DVB-C for Cable. From looking through the TV's specs, it only states Freeview, so it's fitted with DVB-T and that will be what your CI slot is for, for the "Top Up TV" cards you can buy and get extra Freeview channels. The TV won't be able to handle a cable (DVB-C) input or a cable CI card.

You'll still need a decoder box between the cable feed and the TV to watch cable.

EDIT: By the way, very nice looking TV - I'm jealous!
