The blue ftv cards seem to be expiring atm - Ive seen a few reports they have gone off now.

Yes it does - and as of last week its carrying full epg as its C5 Region2

20 quid - already mentioned way back in June in post #2!

The FreesatFromSky cards only give you half a dozen channels though - you dont need them for "free to air" channels

A couple of weeks ago we were invited by a warning message on the TV to go to sky.com/cardreplace, where £20 was demanded for a new card. We found if we switched off the box, took out the card, replaced and switched on again, off we went as before (up to now anyway), £20 saved.

Not for much longer though - the cards will totally expire in a few weeks time when the 0961 encryption stream that the blue cards read is switched off for ever.

The blue cards should stil regionalise your epg settings though.

The "new card" messages will come back at some point, and get steadily worse until they are appearing every few minutes.
