unfortunately the the cable wont reach as the splitter is out side.

you should still be able to do a direct scan m8 remove splitter then connect the cable tv line as mark as said

the splitter has all male sockets so i cant conect directly to the box. i have done the factory reset but still cant find vermin 1 or 2 wife is upset as she is missing chuck. i have have an hour to find vermin1+1

How many channels did you get back after factory reset and have you got all other missing channels back Lardy?(ch5 itv4)

ch5 and itv4 run on the same frequency.v1 and plus 1 on same frequency.So its either not picking those tps up when it scans in which case try scanning it again or its a weak connection as Martin mentioned before.Only other thing is to look in your channels right at the back of your listings(ie tvch etc) and go through them and see if there there.
