1st thing to check is if yer EMU key is on.
menu 1570 press default key then check EMU is on.Exit out and go to s*y sports 1 and let it update.
Some reason or other this has become a bit of an issue with sv's

i have now switched to sly sports and am doing a re-scan. i will let you know

Sound like virmin have been moving transponders about again.I would suggest doing a factory reset and a fresh install Lardy that will pick up yer missing channels but it'll also send yer channels all over the place and you'll spend half the night putting them back into some order. One of the down sides of the sv2.You could try a manual scan for the missing channels but you'd need to find the frequency there running on for you area.on mine ITV4 and ch 5 are running on 363000,thats for the east midlands.

ok i have rescanned and only getting 238 channels which seems a little low.

when you say scan before the splitter would that mean disconnecting the broadban cable and then scan.

when i run throught the search at the bottom of the screen where the DVB-C box is i seem to be getting quite a lot fails after the TP # lines.

if i do a factory reset will i need to reload the image from dec 08?

thanks once again in advance

just remove the splitter and just have the one cable running from the virgin connection to yer box.No you wont need to reload the 08 firmware if you do a factory reset. What Martin says is quite right ref the pixilation so check yer connections and if you dont want to lose your set up of channels by doing a factory reset just check in other channels like bics for ch5 and itv4.
