Default Original modem died

My original modem died and never sync'ed up with the serve. An engineer has fitted an new one and now the signal is very intermitant and some time never connect.

The internet properties show data being sent and recieved but the page loads up as an error.

can anyone help?

did you have a signal booster on the old modem and maybe the engineer has taken it off?

Im still using the same one and I didnt have a signal booster. The engineer didnt install a signal booster-dont think any do. They probably "up the power" in the green box if there is too much demand, which there probably is in my area. I live in a high signal area for cable/freeview/satellite so signal isnt really a problem for me normally

try VisualRoute traceroute: connection test, trace IP address, IP trace, IP address locations

and ping 66.249.68.199 this will give a better idea of whats going on, it looks like your getting packet loss, so would be a problem with virgin

A signal booster is used if your too far away from the box, without mine i lose quite alot of speed and lose packets, that would be the only other explanation, with a 4DB signal booster provided by virgin, my signal in the haxorware panel is..

Receive Power3.7 dBmV
Signal to Noise ratio38.1 dB
