Hi there have a EX1000 box and have had some strange problems tonight.
Basically remote doesn't seem to be responding properly! Can't seem to change channels properly if i press fav button nothing happens,if i say press volume up button it just goes all the way up to full volume even if i am not even pressing the button also if i try to reduce the volume it just goes back down to nothing! Currently also all i have got is just the volume bar shown across the screen permanently with tv channel displayed in the back. Anyone had this sort of problem before? Have recently rescanned channels due to numerous scrambled channels. Is it worth say resetting the box or something like reinstalling new software or something. By the way,yes i have tried new batteries within remote! I'm stumped can anyone help. ![]() Cheers |

can't promise it will solve your problem but it is the way to go.
providing your box is genuine, to flash the box you will need the latest firmware UFL 24/02/09 dar x you can get it in the downloads section of this site to get into downloads section click on Forums in the 2nd forum (UK Cable) click on the Private FTA forum then first thread some download links, what you want is in the Eurovox link copy and paste address in to your browser then download required files to flash the box (this is max v I expect very little difference on yours) You need a null modem cable and the latest firmware UFL for your box Disconnect your box from the TV and connect the box to the pc via the null modem cable, plug in the power cord to your box (leave in standby mode) Run the Unified Flash Loader (the UFL has the flash file built into it) Click on the DOWNLOAD button (top one above the channel data line) this will load the software to your box, when it says its done give it a few seconds extra whilst it finishes off updating connect back up to TV and do a factory default reset and powerscan to get your channels If your scrambled channels are taking too long to unscramble You may have to turn emulation back on go into Menu...language settings...OK...enter 1968 you will get 2 extra options emm and emmulation capture enable both options Put your channel to Sky Sports 1 and let it update If you can only connect via a USB it is slightly different cable set up |

Like most things when you have a problem you can't resolve, start all over again, it only takes a couple of minutes when you know how
