Unhappy Audio description on EX7000 HD

Can anyone tell me how to permanently turn off the audio description on this box - every time I record something 2 out of 3 times it records with the audio description running through it.
Any help would be most appreciated.

well when you choose your two languages for audio description choose to different ones and then when you press the button to choose which language you want you audio decription to be in choose the one you have not used. so you have english and spanish and you are using english and the audio description turns on use spanish and it will turn off it worked for me

This problem is puzzling me also. When I switch channel to watch the program/film, some channels seem to default to the audio description channel, which isn't a problem when i'm watching it but when I'm at work and need to use the timer it doesn't give me the option to choose which audio channel I want. I recorded a film last night and left it on the same channel with the correct audio channel, so it would need to switch over and it still recorded with the audio description. Annoying.

Note that is a non-permanent fix, should you move to another channel then back to the previous one (which had audio desc) then the audio desc will come back on.

Let's hope the latest firmware will have a function to entirely disable the audio description, but as of yet, I have found no way to do it.

We're all stuck flicking the audio tracks as and when its needed for the time being me thinks!

Good question really.

I would have thought pretty soon really, its been 6 months now, and the last firmware was released 3 months after the first, so its a bit overdue, but as for when exactly, I wouldn't know.

There are several members who can relay feedback to the coders, perhaps they might be able to help you further?
