Default Split a cable that has been spilt

Hope Im in the right place being a newbee.

If I want 2 cable feeds upstairs, could I get away with doing 1 spit downstairs, running that upstairs & then splitting that.

It will save on cable cost & 1 cable up the outside of the house wont look as bad as 2.

Should be ok providing your signal strength is ok.

I have mine split twice upstairs, but is very tempramental. Sometimes the interent wont boot up off the splitter whilst the tV is connected, not even on. Sometimes it won't work at all won the splitter, have to unplug the splitter and put the regular connector in.
Its quite annoying really. But I'm sure it would be OK if its two TV's.

I have mine split downstairs with a booster on it. The booster comes first from the VM line and then split to tv downstairs, then to upstairs to my room. I then have a splitter up in here which serves to at the moment a Eurovox, Samsung 2100C, NTL 120 modem and a Surfboard 5101e modem.
I recommend getting a splitter for "turboman"

I have 3 splitters running with two modems and two boxes connected and it works fine. I have split from the main feed into the living room, split again to the box and modem, ran another cable upstairs from the main feed's splitter, split that with another box and a modem and I still have a connection left for another box/modem.
