Dear Sir,
Yes this is correct, the unit was ordered from us as part of a bigger order in the beginning of April this year, to an address in London. The credit card used was stolen, therefore the payment for the goods had to be reversed and we lost a good deal of money. We have reported this to Ebay, and are waiting for an answer from them. I suggest you get a hold of Ebay and the seller as well, since this is a problem that is hurting both you, us and any future buyers of these products. Credit card fraud in general is a problem that is only getting bigger, so it's important to fight it as much as you can. Mvh / Best regards wb_electronics, Jacob Blichfeldt |

I have spoken to the person who sold me the programmer and he denies any knowledge of them being fraudulently obtained and is unwilling to return any money to me.I have reported the issue to Ebay ... To make my last question to yourselves clearer how dos me owning this device affect me!
1. Will I have to hand it in at a Police station (On your say so) ? 2. Will you be demanding it back from me ? 3. Are you saying that there is no support and warranty from yourselves ? Thanks. |

Dear Sir,
We cannot say for sure that the person that sold the programmer also did the credit card fraud, but there's a very good chance since all information match. If he didn't do it, he bought the units from somebody who did. No matter the circumstance, ofcourse he'll deny ever hearing about it :-) I'm also quite sure that if he was actually completely innocent, he would have contacted us saying there's a problem with the products he is trying to sell on ebay. Please let us know if you hear from Ebay, we have not yet heard anything. Regarding your questions: 1) We have reported this case to the police, but even when we do, there's a very little chance they'll do anything more than trying to investigate the one doing the credit card fraud. Even if it's illegal to buy stolen goods, we dont think they have the time or resources to do anything about each individual product. 2) No, we're after the person doing the credit card fraud, and you're just an (unfortunate) part of this. We're sorry that you have gotten involved, but both you and we have been tricked by the seller on ebay. But you should consider trying to get your money back from the seller so you can actually buy a genuine product instead. Ebay must have some kind of buyers protection that can help in this matter. 3) Yes, we consider this batch lost now, and we therefore dont support them or provide any kind of warranty. Ok, if your pc is not online, how does it stop the programmer working, the programmer does not use any internet files in anyway to work, and would find it impossible to believe that they can install a programme on your infinity to stop it to work, suggest that you erase all drivers and traces of it, and re-load drivers off line.

technically you should hand it in to a police station as your handling stolen goods, but then again, as there is no substantial evidence to convince you and you know nothing of it, i doubt any harm will come to you until its proven/dismissed

I have posted an email from Infinity on their forums .On eBay,maybe you could scroll down to where it says Follow up to feedback and copy and paste that link(without the Index of /.) eBay frowns upon a link with Index of / in it
EDIT: It seems that the prefix I was saying turned itself into a live link. SO if you want to know what I mean just hover over it or click on it and you will see what I mean by looking at your URL bar Last edited by waqasahmed; 08-07-09 at 05:40 PM. |

Stroker, wouldnt you be better off putting a bidding price on the item instead of a BIN price(Ive seen your eBay listing) as there arent too many people wanting to buy a blacklisted product
