I used to get M....vision with my Humax and Extreme, but I guess those are gone now ?

If you couldn't get a lock on Thor with a Dreambox then either you were not pointing at the satellite or the box was faulty.

There is a lot of rubbish talked about Dreamboxes having weak tuners. The signal strength meters dont mean very much because the value is dependent on the software. The proof of the pudding is in the picture quality.

Must have been faulty then as all my other receivers locked on no problem

I've got an old 7000 dreambox bought early 2004 and that still gets 1w no problem on a 90cm dish
