thanks m8 i think, i have not got a clue about this im afraid, but saying that i didn't have a clue about my xbox or my digivox but managed to flash them eventually, the reason i didn't look into this stuff earlier was cause of some of the comments about it being quite difficult regarding mac addresses etc, suppose i'll need to look to the forums again, im sure they'll be a tut or 2

The best way to flash this is with a JTAG cable and a 2meg dump from G77. I think you will find it is pretty much the same procedure as JTAGing a STB, so you will be fine. It's a lot simpler than the MAX232 serial method.

Then all you will need to do is set up Haxorware to get a connection. Plenty of info on tha can be found by searching the forum.

ok so all i need hardware wise would be the JTAG cable, looked in your terminology thread for info on that and think i may be better with usb 1, there seems to be a hell of a lot of JTAG cables around, do i need a certain 1 for certain modems

No certain one. It's the wiring at the modem end that needs to be changed from modem to modem. But if you have a webby, just order a JTAG cable from ebay for that particular modem.

USB JTAG is very good as it is much faster than a standard Parallel JTAG, but either will do.
