You should probably have included this in your other thread instead of creating a new one.
All macs you sniff are useable on your modem and will all be from your area (vm extw). If you are in an extw area it's not going to return macs for ex c&w is it? With regards to which ones will work, there's only one way to find out. |

Sorry could you rephrase your question. It didn't make any sense to me mate.
If you need which ones in the sniffer you can use, it is the ones that have a config file next to them, and you must use the brute force option to sniff from home as this will return MACs from a different ubr (node). You can't use ones from your own node as you will keep getting kicked off. It is OK to start another thread on a different subject, but with things like this, there's no point asking "will these work" or "what speed does this config get?" just try it out for yourself and see what happens. |

The problem with brute force methods are -
a) Highly visible on the network and very obvious what your doing b) You've no real idea where the found Mac's are from. They may still be from within your own UBR area just the real modem is presently off-line. There's really no acceptable substitute for passive out-of-area logging if you want to do things properly. If you dont have a friend in an adjacent area then there are plenty of places where you can Mac swap. |

May I also add that scanning in a Dynamic area doesn't work, I have tried and I just get blank results. Most areas have already Dynamic but i'm not sure which ones.

Hi y'all
I'm recoding DHCP sniffer V 0.2.3.91b to sniff out dynamic MAC addresses. it's working @ around about 75% at the moment, still a few bugs and glitches to get around. but when done i'll be glad to share it with you and maybe you could give me some feedback on my efforts to F*** over Virgin and their tight scrooge asses anyways, dont thank me yet ... you can thank me when it's finished and up and running @ around 99%
